CNU Theatre Guild

"Supporting the arts by supporting student-artists"

The CNU Theatre Guild is a non-profit organization designed to enhance and promote the Performance Program of Christopher Newport University, and to further the cultural interest of the campus and wider communities.

In pursuit of these goals, the Theatre Guild will:

1. Raise funds
2. Establish scholarships for Theater Department students to be awarded by the faculty
3. Administer scholarships established by individual members
4. Sponsor guest artists as requested by CNU Theater Department faculty
5. Help develop and enlarge special video library and book collection in the Department of Theater & Dance
6. Provide other supplementary financial support for the various theater activities at CNU
7. Aid and support the university in organizing, staging special events, projects related to theater promotion, publicity, program development and student recruitment
