The Limelight
has become a valuable on-campus resource keeping the
university up-to-date and informed about the events and contributions of CNU
student-artists. It is also a useful tool in helping
prospective students learn more about the University arts programs
and its many opportunities. Most importantly, The
Limelight is a passionate and concerned artistic voice
that that comes from our students as they grow and challenge
themselves artistically and academically. Read the Limelight >>>
History
The Limelight was conveived and developed as a departmental newsletter. Through its evolution, The Limelight grew from a newsletter, to a newspaper, and finally into the popular student-body publication it is today. In recent years The Limelight has not only increased its distribution numbers across campus, but is quickly becoming a full functioning professional student-produced magazine.
The Limelight executive editor is Chelsea Renner. All students are welcome to become
involved with The Limelight as writers, editors,
reporters or layout artists. To contact the editor send
email to Limelight.artsmagazine@gmail.com
Basic Distribution and Content
The Limelight is distributed twice a semester. Every issue includes a feature story on “Artist of the Issue” where students can nominate a CNU artist(s) that deserve to be recognized for their talent and accomplishments; other sections include student and alumni interviews, performance reviews, and pop-culture and campus news update.
